Semantic Segmentation to Extract Coronary Arteries in Invasive Coronary Angiograms

چکیده

Accurate semantic segmentation of each coronary artery using invasive angiography (ICA) is important for stenosis assessment and disease (CAD) diagnosis. In this paper, we propose a multi-step algorithm based on analyzing arterial segments extracted from ICAs. The proposed firstly extracts the entire binary mask (binary vascular tree) deep learning-based method. Then extract centerline tree separate it into different segments. Finally, by extracting underlying topology, position, pixel features, construct powerful segment classifier support vector machine. Each classified left (LCA), anterior descending (LAD), other types method was tested dataset with 225 ICAs achieved mean accuracy 70.33% multi-class classification intersection over union 0.6868 arteries. experimental results show effectiveness algorithm, which provides impressive performance individual arteries in

Coronary Angiograms

Background. Coronary vasodilator reserve is reduced in some patients with a history of chest pain and angiographically normal coronary arteries. ECG changes suggestive of myocardial ischemia during exercise also can be demonstrated in a subset of these patients. Methods and Results. We have investigated the correlation between coronary vasodilator reserve, assessed with "N-labeled ammonia and p...

Prognostic value of abnormal vasoreactivity of epicardial coronary arteries to sympathetic stimulation in patients with normal coronary angiograms.

OBJECTIVE We aimed to evaluate prospectively whether patients with normal coronary angiogram but abnormal epicardial vasoreactivity to cold pressor test (CPT) are at increased risk for cardiovascular events. METHODS AND RESULTS Vasoreactivity in response to CPT and dilation of epicardial arteries to intracoronary application of nitroglycerin were assessed quantitatively (percent change of lum...

Fast 3D Pre-Segmentation of arteries in Computed Tomography Angiograms

A pre-segmentation algorithm for computed tomography angiograms (CTA) is described. It is based on adaptive thresholding. The median axis of the binarized image provides arterial centerlines and estimates of the local radii. Boundary location is refined by analyzing radial intensity profiles in the vicinity of their intersections with the thresholds. The thresholding rule was learned on CTAs of...

Observer agreement in evaluating coronary angiograms.

The reliability of interpretation of coronary arteriography as a diagnostic tool was investigated in a sub-study of the VA Cooperative Study of Surgical Treatment for Coronary Arterial Occlusive Disease. Twenty-two physicians with varying levels of experience read 13 cine angiograms -- blind -- on two different occasions. Analysis of inter- and intraobserver variability showed that angiographic...

Coronary Arteries In Vivo

a specific inhibitor, the hypothesis that acetylcholine-induced coronary vasodilation is due to EDRF release was tested. Methods and Results. We studied the response of normal coronary arteries to acetylcholine (an endothelium-dependent vasodilator) and isosorbide dinitrate (an endothelium-independent vasodilator) in seven patients. The specificity of any vasodilator response was assessed by th...
